Good News

I did my ten mile run yesterday, although it was cut into two. I did half in the wilderness that is Greenbelt Park (to work on hills), but since sunset is at 6:30, I had to head out about then and did the rest of the run in loops around my house. It was a fine run. But, I got to thinking that perhaps this loop that I run, which I had always thought was about 1 mile, was actually a little more. So, I drove the distance, and found that it is actually 1.25, which means that over this past week and beyond, when I thought I was running 5 miles by running 5 loops, I was actually running 6.25! According to Adam, we did 5 loops in about 53 minutes on Tuesday, meaning we were going much faster than our 10 minute mile estimate. Not too shabby!

naomi, what am I going to do when you finish the marathon and I won't have this blog to entertain me?! anyway, nicely done on the short runs! I love that tom cochrane song--definitely a good motivational song--you just gotta keep going even if you hit a bump in the road :)
